Do you ever end up with that
useless piece of something
laying around your house?  No,
not your husband, I mean
something that somebody else
may actually want.
Whether it's an old door, a stack of books, a replaced appliance,or even pets (again,
sorry no husbands) you can save space in the landfill by giving it to a good home.  That's
the mission of, finding new homes for good items that would otherwise be
thrown away.

This is what they have to say on their website, "The Freecycle Network™ is made up of
4,223 groups with 4,362,000 members across the globe. It's a grassroots and entirely
nonprofit movement of people who are giving (& getting) stuff for free in their own towns.
It's all about reuse and keeping good stuff out of landfills. Each local group is moderated
by a local volunteer (them's good people). Membership is free."

You can check out the local chapter, with over 750 members,

Here are few pieces of FREECYCLING ETIQUETTE:

  • PLEASE start off your membership with our group with an OFFER, and try to send
    more OFFER messages than WANTED.

  • Remember, although there are many wonderful things about Freecycle(TM), the
primary purpose is to keep usable items out of the landfill.

Check them out today, turn your trash into someone else's treasure!
